​Equity ED has significantly impacted the Panchayat through initiatives aimed at improving public health and cleanliness. Its waste segregation drive in Muthanalloor enhanced sanitation by educating the local community on proper waste management practices. Through ASHA-led door-to-door campaigns and digital outreach, EquityEd empowered residents with sustainable practices, resulting in a cleaner, safer village environment and demonstrating the transformative impact of community-driven public health initiatives. Additionally, Equity ED transformed the neglected surroundings of the Dommasandra Primary Health Centre into a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. These efforts have created a cleaner, safer village and showcase the transformative power of community-driven public health initiatives.

The Process
Community education Camps: Equity Ed organized educational camps to raise awareness about waste segregation, emphasizing the importance of separating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste. These camps provided hands-on demonstrations and engaged residents directly, making the information accessible and practical.
Digital Outreach: Equity Ed created an informative video in the local language to reach a wider audience, detailing the steps and benefits of proper waste segregation. This video was distributed to every member of the Panchayat, ensuring that the message reached all households and businesses in the community.
Distribution Of Garbage Disposal Bins: Equity Ed as part of the campaign, Equity ED distributed garbage disposal bins to households, shops and public spaces, making it easier for the community to practice segregation. Color coded buckets were distributed to simplify the process and encourage consistent use
Improved Hygiene and Public Health: The waste collection system has proven highly efficient, helping to maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the village. By preventing the accumulation of waste, the initiative has played a crucial role in reducing exposure to health risks and keeping residents safe from diseases associated with improper waste disposal.
Transforming Health: Transformed the neglected surroundings of Dommasandra Primary Health Centre into a clean, safe and welcoming space addressing critical health risks such as mosquito-borne diseases, pest infections and water contamination. This initiative significantly improved community health and safety while enhancing the quality of life for residents.
